A Baby Story, Bringing Home Baby (can you tell I’m expecting?).

Anything that doesn’t cut off my circulation.

I currently have a couple of straw Brighton purses that I rotate between.

Do you cook? What’s your specialty?
I don’t cook. I do make a mean guacamole, though.

Cool – like fall in Oklahoma. We seldom get fall in the Dallas area, though.

If you had to spend a month ALONE anywhere in the world where would you choose & why?
Alone? I would probably choose home. There may be a lot of places I would love to travel, but if I need some time for me I would rather spend it in my favorite place in the world.

On the airplane I always sit in…
I preferred window seating until I got pregnant. Now I’m a big fan of the aisle (preferably as close to the lavatory as I can get).

What’s hanging on the walls of your workspace?
Sadly, nothing except a corkboard with a greyhound calendar. My dog is Miss December.

The first thing I do when I wake up in the morning is…
attempt to determine what time it is and whether or not I have enough time to go back to sleep.

Paper or plastic?
Plastic because we use those baggies for everything.

What do you like on your pizza?
Pepperoni. No messing with the best.

If I don’t set my alarm I wake up…
when my husband wakes me up to tell me goodbye before he goes to work and then again whenever my body determines it has had enough rest.

When I’m stressed I want to…
eat or sleep. Or both.

My favorite paper craft projects:
…layouts. I’m waiting on Emily Adams to show me how to recreate the mirror she did that I want to steal.

Last job BEFORE I got into crafting/current “real” job in addition to Luxe.
In addition to Luxe I am a principal at a consulting firm and have been involved in that industry since 1999. Prior to my entering consulting, I was a desktop publisher in Tulsa, which is where I first experimented with graphic design.

I grew up in (home town).
Broken Bow. It’s a very small town in one of the prettiest parts of the state of Oklahoma.

The first thing I do when I have a creative project:
try to sketch what I “think” I want it to look like. I almost never follow my sketches, though.

I collect…
nothing anymore because my collections took up too much space. I used to collect Breyer horses, Coca-Cola items, Precious Moments figurines and unique drinking glasses.

Essential non-Luxe craft products:
I love Maya Road – I have several items of theirs I plan on making projects with as soon as Emily has time to teach me. (Dontcha’ love how I blame my lack of productivity on Emily?)

Favorite Luxe line & why.
I’m currently loving Pashmina, though. Probably because I’m having a girl – all that pink is just singing to me.

What was your first paying job?
Darkroom assistant.

Tattoos & piercings?
My ears are pierced twice – although I almost never put anything in the 2nd hole. My navel is pierced. I currently have two tattoos…I would love another one but I have no clue where I would put it.

Name of your favorite shade of lipstick.
I’m currently digging Moonlight Mica – I picked it up at Target in Chicago when I realized I hadn’t packed a single lipstick for my trip to CHA!

What’s your favorite karaoke tune?
Hmmm…probably a toss-up between I Will Survive and Material Girl. Although, the first karaoke song I ever did was Fiona Apple’s Criminal.

Where do you shop most often? Where is your special place to shop?
Lately it’s been Motherhood Maternity. Before my waistline started expanding I was a really big fan of White House/Black Market. As luck would have it there is one going in about a mile and a half from my house.

How do you order your Starbucks?
Venti caramel frappucino, por favor!

Who do you consider “responsible” for getting you started scrapbooking?
Jennifer. She kept nagging me because she knows what a picture-taking fanatic I am.

What color cardstock do you use the most?
Probably orange or brown if I’m not creating something specifically for Luxe.

What do you buy a lot of? {craft related}
Flowers. Oddly, I don’t use them a lot – I guess I just think they are pretty!
